About log.trading

log.trading is a free trading journal for MT5 and cTrader traders. It imports trades on its own, counts the statistics and keeps prop and own accounts apart. A trader built it for himself, then opened it to everyone.

Why it exists

For years I kept my trading journal in a spreadsheet and dropped it every two weeks. Copying each trade by hand after a session is the most boring part of trading. So I built a journal that takes the trades from the terminal by itself, and all I have to write is why I entered.

How it works

Read-only accessMT5 connects with the investor password, cTrader with a cTrader ID. The journal can't trade.
Prop and own accounts apartChallenge statistics don't mix with your personal account, and the prop limits are counted separately.
A note on every tradeEntry reason, screenshot and setup tag. A month later you see which decisions work.

Why it is free

The journal grew out of my own tool, and it is cheap to run. Trade import, statistics and prop limits are free — no card and no trial period.
