How the daily loss works
The day's limit is the balance at 00:00 minus 5% of the initial capital. If a $100,000 account made $2,000 by midnight, the next day's limit is $97,000. Equity with open trades may not fall below it.
How the max loss works
The max loss is static: 90% of the initial capital. On a $100,000 account it is $90,000 — even when the balance has grown to $102,000, the limit doesn't move up.
How the journal tracks it
On a prop account's dashboard three meters update with every closed trade; the floating P/L of open positions shows next to them. Yellow appears after 60% of a limit is used, red after 80%.
